Accessibility Statement
Haven at Hedgewood Estates — Modern Alpine Last updated: February 2026
Part 1 — Physical Accessibility
We are committed to being transparent about the physical nature of our property so every guest can make an informed decision before booking.
The Site The lot at Modern Alpine sits on flat ground surrounded by natural woodland. Paths around the property are primarily natural terrain and gravel, which may present some difficulty for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility. The outdoor deck, hot tub, and cold plunge are accessible from ground level with minimal gradient.
The Cabin There are 3–4 steps at the main entrance to the cabin. There is no ramp or step-free alternative entrance at this time.
The ground floor includes a bedroom and full bathroom, making single-level stays possible for guests who do not require access to the loft. The loft bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase and is not suitable for guests with significant mobility limitations.
If you have specific accessibility requirements or questions prior to booking, please contact us directly. We will always respond honestly and do our best to accommodate where possible.
Part 2 — Website & Digital Accessibility
Haven at Hedgewood Estates is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Our efforts include:
Colour & Contrast. Our colour palette has been selected to meet or exceed the minimum contrast ratios specified by WCAG 2.1 (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text), ensuring readability for users with low vision or colour blindness.
Typography. We use clear, legible typefaces at readable sizes with adequate line spacing. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Navigation. Our site is designed to be navigable by keyboard alone and is structured with logical heading hierarchies to support screen reader users.
Images. All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so as not to interfere with assistive technology.
Forms & Interactions. All form fields include clearly associated labels and error messages are descriptive and easy to understand.
Third-Party Content. Some elements of our website — such as booking widgets or map embeds — are provided by third parties. While we select accessible partners where possible, we cannot guarantee full WCAG compliance of all third-party content.
Ongoing Commitment. We review our website regularly and welcome feedback. If you experience any accessibility barriers on our site or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at [email address] and we will respond within 5 business days
